About our Philosophy
Churches and other ministries have typically built web sites in two ways: they find a techy volunteer, or hire a professional to do it. A volunteer may start out doing a wonderful job, but they may not have the motivation to stay focused or the knowledge to handle the situation when computer glitches crop up. Then the ministry is stuck either waiting for the aid of another techy volunteer as their site continues to display outdated information.
Some ministries hire professionals. Unfortunately, far too many web designers are only interested in design; once the initial site is completed, they happily "hand over the keys", forcing non-technical people (who really just want to minister) to figure out the .XHTML, .CSS and .PHP code on their own. Some firms rope you into a long-term (and often expensive) contracts. You pay for support whether you need it or not.
We believe every church is filled with people who have stories of faith just waiting to be told. These stories have incredible potential to impact the world for Christ. As we share in compelling and relevant ways we open the door for Christ to impact the world through us.
At Salty Pineapple Design, we wish to aid churches and other ministries by creating interactive websites and technical assistance. Every hosting plan comes with up to one hour of technical assistance per month, free. If you'd someday like additional design assistance, our fees are clearly spelled out in advance, so there are no surprises. Simply put, pineapple plants won't survive a cold winter and you should not have to either. We'll be here for you.
However, you'll never be locked into a long-term contract, either. Frankly, we believe once you're on-board, you will want to stay. But if you should ever decide you wish to pursue other avenues simply provide us with 30 days' written notice. We will also refund any unused portion of your hosting expense. All of your data, as well as the site's design, are yours to take and redeploy as you see fit.
Using new technology to spread the ancient message of Jesus Christ; the most wonderful message there is.
