What We Offer

Salty Pineapple Design is based in Aurora, Illinois with the goal of promoting affordable excellence in design to the local church and other ministries through interactive websites, quality print design, and compelling photography all for a low cost.
Interactive Websites:
• "Web 2.0" (as in version 2) is the term used to describe "dynamic" web sites. Static "Billboard" sites, (a.k.a. yesterday's cutting edge), are giving way to interactive ones which (based on your permissions) allow the user to add content or access member-only pages.
• No longer do you need extensive training or expensive software to keep your web site up to date. Now with only a connection to the internet and a password, you can ensure your web site offers only the most current information. Are you traveling to a conference, under a storm watch, or hate to call your webmaster while she's enjoying her honeymoon? Salty Pineapple Design can help by providing non-technical folks the ability to make web page updates using a simple word processor-like interface.
• You now have the option to delegate responsibility and allow leaders the ability to update pages specific to their area of ministry. Would you prefer to review the content before it goes live? We can pinpoint which users have the ability to create pages and assign others the right to publish. It's up to you!
• We will continue to monitor and improve our authoring environment. That mean as Salty Pineapple Design embraces new technologies (and allow the old ones to fall away) your interface will be automatically updated, providing you the newest tools with no additional expense or installation frustrations. We understand not everyone is comfortable with the internet. That’s OK! Let us take care of the technical aspects and you can provide the content. This allows you to focus on ministry and not get caught up with all the "’s" and "<? php print content ?>’s".
Quality Print Design:
• Commercial printing has changed. Direct-to-plate presses make offset print quality affordable, even in small runs, perfect for office stationary or weekly bulletin shells. In an increasingly visual society, people have come to expect excellence. The good thing is it’s now possible to inexpensively generate beautiful paper or vinyl banners, stickers, peel and stick vinyl letters or logos, as well as print on nearly any smooth object up to ½-inch thick; including poster board, Foam Cor, plastic, metal, glass, or even wood.
Compelling Photography:
• A look at a few pictures and potential visitors get a feel for the type of community you have. We can take great photos of your key leaders and facility, optimizing them to work best on your website, in a small brochure, or on a huge banner.
We Also Offer:
• Free Advice: We understand the internet and all this “new media” is unfamiliar to many. But at Salty Pineapple Design, we think the local church should be embracing tools that make ministry easier. If you have a question about your existing ministry’s web site or how a new technology might help your church, we’d like to help. Simply send a brief question and we’ll try to track down an answer. No strings attached.
• Web Hosting and Ongoing Support: Far too many web designers get you started and then leave you to figure things out for yourself. Some web design companies force you into expensive long-term contracts. But we know pineapple plants won’t survive in the cold. That’s why at Salty Pineapple every hosting package comes with up to one hour of free technical support per month at no extra cost. We want you to be happy with your Salty Pineapple site, not only when it’s new, but for years to come. But we also know you might someday have other plans. We trust you'll stay with us because you like our service, not because you're contractually obligated to us. You're free to take your data and design, and redelopy it in any way you see fit.
• Standards compliant markup (.PSD to .CSS): Do you have a table-based web site you’re happy with but desire it to be built using standards-compliant .CSS markup? Have you created “a look” in Photoshop (or other design program) that you would like made into a live site? We can help. Send us an e-mail with the image attached and we’ll provide a quote and timeframe.
By allowing you to do what you do best—ministry—while do what we do best—creative communication—we make an ancient message of hope come alive to the 21st century world.
